Extra-curricular Activities:
- NSS consists of 100 socially sensitive students with a deep sense of service participating in the activities of the club with verve.
- NCC program provides ample opportunities to the cadets by way of conducting firing camps, drill practices, personality development, and voluntary service programs.
- Sona Programming Club has been started under the guidance of Dr. J. Akilandeswari, in order to improve the programming skills of the students.
- Dexters club is an initiative by the students for the students. We focus on the Creativity, Technology, and Presentation of the student.

- ECE student of Sona College of Technology was awarded the First Prize in the National Innovation Excellence Competition organized by Accenture. The prize includes a visit to Accenture's Research facility in Silicon Valley, USA.
