Placements & Internship
Placement is good if you are in the 70percentile bracket of the crowd. In Odisha the IT services companies mostly recruit. Given the option available in the state, this option stands out.
Fees & Scholarships
Fees are revised every year, better to get the updated information by calling the admissions office. The Odisha state student are eligible to government scholarship nothing to do with the college.
Academics & Faculty
You will certainly not miss your school. The college is marked by strict academic attendance and a pedagogy which will help you ace your semester exams. The English and the Computer department stood out for me.
College Infrastructure
Hostel is manageable to say the least, the first semester might be challenging if you get the dormitory,but by the time your year ends you wish you had the dormitory for the entire college term. Library is adequately stocked with the course books but i would have been happier to find a diversity in magazines from different publications . WiFi facility was not provided in the hostel until 2015, however with cheaper internet that should hardly be a concern these days. If you play basketball it is good news for you, the cricket field was newly built and hardly qualifies to be of any standard.
Food Services & Hostel
Food, that is the trickiest question, it is highly relative, i loved the breakfast but as the day progresses i would had lesser and lesser food from the hostel mess. Veg and non-veg are in separate location. It is mostly clean, if you find your food in the early hours of operation. Rooms had basic furnishing,bed table and children. Again these data are from a 2015 pass out.Food might have deteriorated or could have been better, hostel facilities keep on changing but i was overall content with the facility at hand.

Silicon institute of technology, BBSR Infrastructure is pretty good though it is not good as compared to other colleges like KIIT. Fees are pretty high as compared to other colleges like CV Raman and NIST, though it's been officially asked by BPUT to decrease the fees. Faculties are really good, infact Silicon is one of the private college whose faculty are very disciplined and we'll knowledgeed than any other college The canteen facility is not so good but as compared to other colleges it's better, yes in the summer season you will get Pakhala(Odia dish) and Fish fry, which we enjoyed a lot The placement ratio is almost 70 to 30 , 70% are always get placed by on-campus or off-campus. I also like to highlight that Silicon ranks as the topmost private college in Odisha.The pupils of this college are very disciplined, you can engage yourself in lot more extracurricular activities. internship is not as much supported in college compare to other college and placement are very good till 2016 but it drops in 2017 and so on due to the different problems in the IT sector

College provides documents for an internship programme. It has criteria for sitting the campus placements. Not everyone who is eligible get a job.
Fees & Scholarships
Fee of one whole has to be submitted at the beginning of a full year academic session. Scholarship are only given to merit students.
Academics & Faculty
Silicon has strict academy. Faculties are excellent and will help you out anytime regardless of your branch.
College Infrastructure
Labs are good,modern and has got all equipments that will be needed. It was a very good experience in labs. Library is excellent as you can get all the books you want. In sports, we have a good volleyball, basketball and badminton court. Cricket and football field are not good. Never used my college gym so can't comment. WiFi is good and it has a special WiFi zone.
Food Services & Hostel
Canteen food is bad(taste) regardless of veg/non-veg. I never stayed in hostel, so can't comment.

Opportunities regarding internships are good, recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Mindtree, Capgemini etc recruit in average numbers and salary is as per the industry standards.
Fees & Scholarships
Fees can be paid through Demand drafts etither in half or in full, loan facility is also there, scholarship facility is also available for meritorious students.
Academics & Faculty
Faculties are best here, they teach the basics, you dont need additional materials for studies except the notes they give and the books they prescribe. One of the best things at Silicon is their way of teaching. Classes happen on a regular basis, Silicon is really strict in this area and they always finish the syllabus within the stipulated time unlike other BPUT colleges.
College Infrastructure
Lab, library, WIFI are available for everyone. The newly created SKY lab attracts a lot of students, on weekends you can enjoy movies in the newly built hall. Overall the infrastructure is pretty good.
Food Services & Hostel
Food is hygienic, its upto the students to decide if they like it or not. The veg and non-veg halls are clean and hygienic as well. Same thing for the hostel rooms, the rooms offered will be clean, its upto the students to keep it that way. Though they only give the study table and the bed, rest you have to bring with yourself.

Till 2016 batch the placement records were very much promising. Last year placements was average.Major recruiting companies are Infosys Wipro techmahindra Capgemini and Mindtree. Package is estimated around 3.3 lpa.
Fees & Scholarships
When I joined in yr 2013 the fees was around 1,52,000 per year.Now the fees is around 1.65 lakh per year. The canteen bill is not included in this amount. Canteen bill is around 3000 RS per month. Loan facility is there in our college. Students also get chance to study in tfw category
Academics & Faculty
Silicon college is known for its academic records. Studies are always given prime importance.Per semester 2 internals are also conducted.Teachers are well experienced and helpful. Classes are regular. There are no strikes in our college . Computer labs are well maintained but electronics lab needs to be improved.

Computer labs are well maintained thanElectrical and electronics labs. Library is very good. The college has an internet lab but there is no WiFi in hostel. The gym is good. The college also has 2 basketball court , one volleyball court and a small football ground.
Food Services & Hostel
Quality of food is adjustable in silicon. College has 2 canteens one for vegetarians and other for non vegetarians. Breakfast,lunch and dinner is provided and a cafetaria is there for snacks.college also has night canteen during semesters.
