Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women was founded by Sri Vishnu Educational Society in 2001. The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada since 2011 and was accredited in 2008 by NBA for 5 years. The college offers Bachelor and Master Courses in various field of Technology. It also offers Professional Programme in Business and Computer Application

  • The college has an area of 100 acres consists of building, residence, auditorium, playgrounds, colleges or parking
  • SVES awarded with Global Performance Excellence Award by Asia Pacific Quality Organization (APQO) on 15th October 2012
  • SVES have been chosen as the Best Consumer of APEPDCL in West Godavari District for use of alternative energy resources

Extra-Curricular:

  • NSS- NSS, organize various programmes for social welfare and national development by identifying the needs and problems of the society. The overall objective of this scheme is Education and Service to the community and by the community. The students go to the rural areas and try to develop a Technocratic Environment and help the underprivileged people to develop themselves
  • Campus Magazine- The college publishes annual magazine, Vishnu Era, for developing and expressing the ideas of students
  • Boat Club- A boating club was setup in the premises for the recreation of the students. Presently it has three boats and the pond is located in the northeast corner of the third phase of the campus
  • Eco Club- This club aims at initiating students' passion towards chemistry concerned works and environmental hazards
  • Painting Club- The college develops inner talent of the students. Students’ paintings are exhibited in the campus in various special occasions
  • Radio Vishnu 90.4- Students develop most of the radio programmes on many relevant social issues keeping in mind all and sundry in the society

The college has Digitalized Central Library well equipped with all the good books of the different subjects taught here

  • There are 50,731 Books, 7,766 Titles and 958 Journal Back Volumes 
  • 6506 e-Journals including IEEE, ASCE, ASME, McGraw-Hill, Elsevier Science Direct, Wiley-Blackwell, J-Gate (Engineering), J-Gate Management etc.
  • 142 periodicals subscribed for year 2013

Auditorium
  • The SVECW facilitates an Indoor Auditorium, Open-air-Auditorium, Mini-Auditorium and numerous Seminar Halls
  • The college has an well-furnished and well-equipped seminar hall  which can accommodate 250 members each

  • There are more than 3000 computer terminals
  • Completely Wi-Fi Campus with 20+ access point, supported on the technology from RUCKUS
