Shri Balwant Institue Of Technology, An Engineering College established in the memory of a great generation leader of his time Shri Balwant Singh Ji. Started on 14th August 2006.
- To develop centre of excellence for value based engineering education and research comparable with the best in the world through state-of-the-art technology, continuous learning and strategic partnership with the industry
- To provide quality technical human capital to the industry and society by establishing center of excellence of engineering education research

Extracurricular Activities
The college has various activities. It has clubs for the extracurricular activities.The clubs are:
- Essence- The club works for the personality development of the students and has been named “Essence”
- Koshish- This club includes keen members to work for the under-privileged and help them to understand the nuances of life which indeed is a noble cause
- Dynamos- Dynamos” the sports club has been set up to provide students having their strong footprints in sports
- Kalakriti- Kalakriti” has been set up for the students to showcase their talents and skills
- Techquest- The club activities include interesting games and many intellect aspects for the intellectual integrity and creative skills of the young engineers
- Management-The Management club is an effective resource for student aspiring to be succesfull
- Spunk- This is a club for those want to take part in several cultural activities

Festivals
There are recent festivals which are held annually at SBIT-
- Explorica- The 2-day festival is a blend of cultural, literary and sports events encapsulated with the creativity of the students and sponsored by some renowned brands. The fest had 300 students from 15 colleges across Delhi, Haryana and far beyond
- Techaeon- It comprised of different Technical events with some Fun zone activities as well. Main aim of holding this event was to provide a platform for young engineering minds to participate and exhibit their talents in various technical events

What about the placement record ?

There is no such thing like placement in my college so dont expect any type of placement. Rarely two or three companies came during placement session and one of them is J k Technosoft was came for Desktop engineer profile in which many students are shortlisted but firstly we have to pay them during our training period i think this type of placement we can get offcampus also indian Army was also came but it is only for males and two candidates are selected on good package.
