About College

Saveetha Engineering College, Chennai was established in 2001 by the Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust, a registered charitable society. Technical courses offered by the college have been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), accredited by NBA and an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The College is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, the largest technical university in India.

The campus of Saveetha Engineering College is spread over a 120 acres of scenic beauty,facing Chembarambakkam lake on the Chennai- Bangalore National Highway (NH4).  Located about 8 km from Poonamlee  township. The "Circular Block" has a built up area of 220,000 sq feet, and houses the Departments of Control Systems, Electrical, Electrical & Computerand Civil Engineering as well as Information Technology. A separate block with a built up area of 70,000 sq feet, houses the departments of Mechanical Engineering and Science & the Humanities.
