About College
Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management (SCEM), Mangalore was established in 2007 under Bhandary Foundation at Mangalore. It is affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is recognised by Government of Karnataka and HRD Ministry, Government of India. The vision of the institute is to become a globally respected institute striving continuously for excellence in Education, Research and Technological service to the nation. The mission of the institute is to have an interactive, innovative and enjoyable teaching, learning and research environment which will foster the growth of self-motivated technocrats, who can cope with the supersonic global scenario with a high degree of integrity, ethical standards and social concern. The eco-friendly picturesque campus is spread across 30 acres of land situated on the banks of the River Nethravathi and is adjacent to Mangalore-Bangalore National Highway NH 75 (old NH-48). It is located at a distance of 7 km from the port city of Mangalore and the nearest railway station is Mangalore Junction - 4 km., nearest airport is at Bajpe - 16 km., distance from Central Bus Terminal - 10 km.

Is Placement Good in Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management ?

IT companies visit in large numbers, may be 226 visited last year. Other branch companies doesn't visit as much as IT companies visit. General stipend offered is about 5 Lakh Rupees per anum.

I wrote CET of Karnataka and secured 13000 rank. I opted this college by looking at Architecture mainly. And this college was the main center for engineering college selection, so i didn't knew much about other colleges.
