About College
S. K. R. Engineering College (SKREC), Chennai was established in 2001. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Institute. The vision of the college is to transform the budding engineers into academically excellent, highly intellectual and self-disciplined Engineering graduates and also to mould them into good citizens with the spirit of integrity and morality, catering to the needs of the nation. The mission of the college is to impart quality education with high standards of excellence in engineering and technology, to provide an excellent infrastructure in a serene and conducive atmosphere that would motivate the students in their pursuit of knowledge in the field of engineering and technology.

Auditorium |
The institute has state of the art Tin Jubilee Auditorium with a seating capacity of 2000 students. It has one more air conditioned auditorium with seating capacity of 600 students. |

The institute has a state of the art computer centre with 100 PC’s which are well equipped with latest softwares and configurations. |

Library |
The library has a collection of 16055 titles and 25000 volumes of books. It subscribes to 29 magazines, 80 national and 70 international printed journals. |

Hostel |
Available for both boys and girls separately with attached bathrooms. |
Achievements

Mr. C.R. Balaji participated in All India Inter University boxing Tournament held in Bilaspur Univeristy at Chattisgarh- Bantam Weight Category. Also participated in Senior State Level Championship during the month of April 2013 in Chennai.
