About College
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), established in 1991, is run by the Government of Kerala and is one of the leading technical institutions in Kerala. The college is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
- The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields of engineering
- The campus extends over 87 acres of government land and located 14 km from Kottayam
- RIT is selected under Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) of Government of India
- AICTE has recognized RIT as a QIP centre in Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering
- RIT has CERD (centre for Engineering research & Development) centre sponsored by Govt of Kerala and Technical Education Department. The National Technological Congress (NATCON) was initiated by (CERD), with an objective to improve the research activities at Engineering colleges
- Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology hosts National Conference on Recent Innovations in Technology (NCRIT) which aims at providing a common platform for professionals, academicians, researchers, and industrialists together to share their knowledge and ideas
