About College

RNS Institute of Technology  is a college of engineering and technology that was established in 2001 by the Group Chairman, Dr. R.N. Shetty in Bangalore, India. Head of The Murudeshwar Group of Companies and leading player various industries such as construction, manufacturing, hotel, automobile, power and IT services and education, Dr. R.N. Shetty run a number of educational institutions under the R.N. Shetty Trust. Recognized by the AICTE, RNS Institute of Technology was also accreditated by the National Board of Accreditation recently. One of the top 10 engineering colleges in Karnataka state is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

RNS Institute of Technology has one of the largest campuses in Karnataka that is spread over the 108 acres of Uttarahalli-Kengeri Road, Rajarajeshwari Nagar Post, Channasandra, Bangalore with nine blocks in it. It has currently 2 boys and 1 girls hostels that can accommodate 530 and 300 students respectively. Apart from basic hostel facilities and amenities, the college also has yoga and meditation classes, library, separate browsing center and well-equipped guest rooms for parents and relatives of the students as well. Canteen of the RNSIT was also rated the best in the city by the Bangalore Times. It also organizes various sports and cultural events to bring out the best in a student such as RNS Basketball Rolling Trophy tournament, Parichay, an intra-collegiate fest as a part of an ice-breaking session between freshers and seniors, Quizzers Anonymous, etc.

RNSIT is one of the best-accreditated engineering colleges of Karnataka that aims to provide quality education in the related field to the society.

‹Facilities:-

Library:

• RNSIT Library was established during the year 2001 with a collection of 2000 volumes of books. Within a span of 10 years it has grown with a collection of over 26,341 volumes, 80 Journals, 18 Magazines and 11 News papers.
• Our library has been subscribed to the IEEE – IEL Online through INDEST – AICTE consortium by paying Rs. 4 lakhs to support library users project works, technical reports, and R & D works.

Events Organized :

• Three days Faculty Development Program on MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGIES DOT NET FRAMEWORK - LEVEL-1 from 28th to 30th Jan 2013 conducted by ACCENTURE.
• One day Workshop on AMAZON CLOUD COMPUTING on 31st Jan 2013 Conducted by ACCENTURE for 2014 batch students.
• One day Workshop on PSoC on 14th March 2013 conducted by CYPRESS SEMI CONDUCTOR for 2014 batch students.
• Two days Workshop on WINDOWS PHONE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT from 11th May 2013 to 12th May 2013 Conducted by ACCENTURE for 2014 batch students.
• GRE Training Classes conducted by IMS. (Three students have scored highest marks in GRE 2013).
• Aptitude Workshop Conducted by Mr. Byju Raveendran on 8th Feb 2013 for 2014 batch students.
• Final year students -2014 batch have won the Runner –I award and cash prize of 30,000/- in Programmer’s Marathon 2013 conducted by Hitachi Consulting.
• In campus GATE training classes for 2015 batch.
