About College
Prasad Institute of Technology (PIT), Jaunpur was established in 2002 by Prasad Educational Trust with an aim to impart excellent technical education in the field of engineering, technology, pharmacy and management. The institute insists on developing students into efficient technocrats in their selected pursuits by guiding them to build their insights abilities and way of right thinking.

- College is situated on the bank of river Gomti, 5 km away from Jaunpur city on Azamgarh Road
- PIT is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to GBTU, Lucknow formerly known as UPTU

- UMANG-It is an annual sports and cultural program conducted in the Institute. On the basis of performance of students they are awarded with certificates and prizes.
- Neuron-It was a Technical festival organized by the PIT. Events that were held are Programming (Coding and Testing) Competition, Poster Panting Competition, Brain Master Competition, Project Exhibition & Robotics Competition, Debate Competition, Essay Writing Competition etc

Qualifications for admission to B.Tech is a passed 10+2 or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech course are: Physics & Mathematics as compulsary subjects and Any one of the following optional subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology,Computer Science or Biology.
