NM Institute of Engineering and Technology (NMIET), Bhubaneswar was established in 2004. NMIET has been envisioned as an institution of excellence with main focus on building capabilities of the students with holistic development of their personality. The vision of NMIET is to create an enabling environment where technology is used for the benefit of mankind. Their mission is to acquire, develop, transmit and use appropriate technology for physical and mental development of people.

Facilities:
Library- The library has over 20000 text books and 200 e-journals, periodicals and journals of both national and international. It has a reading room with the capacity of 200 students.
Computer Lab- The computer lab has more than 255 terminals with all basic hardware and software and connected to the servers. Internet facility is also provided through BSNL with 2mbps speed.
Hostel- The Institute has separate hostel facility for both boys and girls. The hostel can accommodate about 700 boys and girls.
Sports- The institute has excellent sport facility including cricket, volleyball, football, badminton and Basketball etc.

- The institute is awarded as Best Student Chapter ISTE of Orissa 2008
- Soumyakanti Das CSE (4th Year) & Debjoy Mitra CSE (3rd Year) students represented Power Twenty20 cricket for the state of Orissa
- Alisha Mishra IT (4th yr.) student represented Indian Asia as a writer of Young IDEA-International Drama/Theater and Education Association, at Taiwan-2006 and Greece-2009 respectively
Scholarship:
Scholarship is provided to 10 best percent of students of each semester if student got atleast 8.5 SGPA and secured atleast 85% attendance in all theory and sessional subjects.
