About College

Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET), Hyderabad was established in 1980 under Sultan-ul-uloom Education Society (SUES). It is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The vision of the college is to be a part of universal human quest for development and progress by contributing high caliber, ethical and social responsible engineers who meet the global challenge of building modern society in harmony with nature. The college is spread over a campus with a built up area of 38, 251 sq. mtrs. and located at Banjara Hills which is the most prime location in the city of Hyderabad.

The college has 52 modern and multimedia equipped classrooms.  

Laboratories

The college has 91 laboratories in various departments, which are well equipped with modern equipments.

Computer Centre

The computer centre consists of 11 servers (Compaq, IBM and Wipro), 225 computers complemented by some of the latest software like Rational Rose, Macro Media Studio, Linux, etc.

Library

The library spread over an area of 1200 sq.mtrs. and has a reading room with a seating capacity of 168 students -

  • It has collection of 3185 project reports, 14900 titles, 5129 reference and 54128 volumes of books
  • It subscribes to 125 printed journals and magazines
  • The Library has purchased E-Lectures, 135 video lectures, 1925 books and journal CD ROMS and 120 web courses from NPTEL, IIT Madras
  • It provide access to the Digital Library having 25 IBM work stations

Events & Festivals

  • Adsophos - It is the annual technical festival celebrated at MJ College of Engineering in February
  • RoboXion - It is a robotic fest conducted by Robotics Club in September. The events are Lunar Rover (Theme Event), Robo Soccer, Monster Track (All Terrain), Robo Sumo, Line Follower
