About College

National Institute of Technology, Bhopal (NIT Bhopal), formerly Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT) was founded in 1960 and named after the first Education Minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. It was started with only 120 students and 7 faculty members.

• Campus has covered the total area of 650 acres land.
• Presently, the college houses about 4,000 students and faculty members.
• Admission to the college is through AIEEE, PET and GATE exam.
• Offering courses from graduate to postgraduate level in the field of engineering & management.
• It has achieved the goal of creating skillful and distinguished academicians who can easily cater to the industrial needs of country.
• It has enabled the facilities like Workshops, Computer Center, Canteen, Athletic Ground, Sports Complex, Energy Center; dispensary with 2 doctors & the open air auditorium with the seating capacity of 1000 persons at a time.
