There are no reservations. You need to clear the manipal entrance exam. Not sure of the cutoff but it's around 100 out of 360.

Placements are great for computer science and IT streams. Not so good for civil, chemical and other fringe streams as core jobs aren't available. Internships are to be self sought. College doesn't provide much assistance for internships.

They're good. Faculty is generally above average.

Superb infrastructure. Probably the best in the country.

The eligibility criteria wasn't too high during my time. It was 65% in PCM I guess. The admission process was MUOET, which is a separate exam for all Manipal branches exclusively. It was a MCQ online test with a time frame which was around 2 hours. So it was all about speed. I chose Mechanical engineering which got closed around 6k.

Placements depends on your branch. CSE students have the best placements. The highest package that was offered was around 24 lpa by Amazon. For CSE, IT companies like Microsoft, HP, Dell, Citrix , Oracle , Cisco to name a few visit the campus. They offer paid internships too. Some in the third year too. For mechanical we have lesser companies , but core companies like Mahindra and Mahindra , Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Fiat, Bosch, Hero, Toyota to name a few are regular recruiters. Some companies offer internship offers too. The packages offered are from 4-6.5 lpa at an average.
Fees & Scholarships
The process of fees submission is very easy , hassle free, either through draft or cheque. We also have a facility for student loans. There are various scholarships offered to students. For top rankers they have a merit cums means scholarship. Apart from that they offer AICTE scholarship too. You can visit the website for more details on other scholarships.
Academics & Faculty
The classes are regularly held. 75 percent attendance is mandatory and faculty is serious about this. We have various labs which are open to students from first to fourth year if they want to carry out some work there. The subjects are taught with clarity and with good in depth knowledge. The faculty is very open and helping. Atleast I can speak for myself. You can seek assistance from them outside classes. They'd be ready to help. Most of the teachers are M.tech , some are phd too.
College Infrastructure
When it comes to expenditure , there is no comparison to MIT. We have world class labs. Our library is a 5 floor building which is open till 11 during exam time. We have a very famous sports complex, Marena. You can google it. It's one of the biggest complex in India. Apart from that, we have facility for every sport played in India. Almost whole campus has wifi, be it hostels, classrooms, libraries or food court.
Food Services & Hostel
The food served in the mess is very good, considering the quality of food served in other messes. Hygiene is one area where special focus is laid too. Both veg and non veg is served but in different sections. We have alot of messes to choose from in case you get bored from one. The hostel rooms are no less than a hotel room( in hygiene) . They are very comfortable. Overall the life at MIT is one which one would cherish for a lifetime.

I am currently doing my M.Tech course in Digital Electronics and Advance Communication. I can say it's one of the reputed private colleges in the India. The campus provides an awesome range of facilities and infrastructure for sports and fitness, on par with the best in the India (Marena). The faculty members are having mastery over the objects (for PG all professional are Ph.D. holders). Good placement record in core EC and CS branches, compared to other departments. Very nice places to visit n
