About College

Kathir College of Engineering was established in the year 2008 under the sponsorship of Lamika Educational and Charitable Trust in order to motivate and innovate students in the field of technology and technology. It is co-ed engineering and technology institute which is also specialized in business administration programme.  The college campus is situated on 14 km away from city and 4 kms from Coimbatore Airport. College is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by AICTE.

Facilities:

Library: College Library currently housed 17000 text and reference books and is centrally air conditioned. Library also subscribes 180 national and international journals. Library is also member of British Council Library, US Information Service, CSIR, DELNET, IIT, Madras Productivity Council.

Hostels: Separate on campus hostels for the boys and girls with fully furnished room, excellent security, 24 hrs power supply, nutritious food provided by mess.

Co-operative stores: A stationary store which is one stop for all students requirements like notebooks, flies, microtips.    

Festivals:

• Kalakritha- It is annual event organized by college in which students from 100 schools participated and 50+ events are organized in it.
• JEFEES- it is another event organized by the MBA department students of the college. In this event 1000 students from various colleges participates every year.
• Dhorna- It is an inter college symposium where students from 200+ engineering college participated.
