Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering is an engineering college of Karnataka that was established by the National Education Society in 1980. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum with approval of AICTE and Government of Karnataka. It is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation and offers 7 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programs.
The campus of the college is spread over an area of 40 acres on Savalanga Road of Navule, Shimoga in Karnataka.

      The college has got the best faculty and infrastructure, even the placements are quite good. The college has a canteen and a green campus to give the best of recreation. It has got a big and resourceful library, a well-planned campus. It promotes 'No Ragging' theme and it's truly a zero ragging campus. Management conducts many workshops and events to provide a lot of exposure and experience to the students.even the hostels are spacious and well maintained.
