It is on par to filter the better minds of the country and state, if not the best, to fit the academic rigour. Admission process needs to be made a little more easier.
Read Full ReviewThe situation of internship during my time was okayish. We were encouraged to apply for internships on our own, which was a bit tough, supposing that we had minimal networks. However, one internship was conducted by the college in association with IBM, which was great. Placements are great too. Good companies do come to the campus. However, the companies offering the top package won't come here for mass recruitment. The packages offered by the companies is on par with what they offer at most NIT's
Fees was at par with most colleges in the state. Scholarship was also given to the brightest minds in the batch. Loans are also available.
Classes have the rigour and the standard is great. However, the focus is more on theoretical knowledge(as was the case in 2015). The labs were there always to reinforce theory into practice, however, it was not enough. Classes were regular, for sure. Faculty support is tremendous. All in all, a great place for learning.
The sports complex is just not upto the mark. Lab and library is great. Gym too is upto the mark and WiFi speed was too slow or too fast, at times, like a sinusoidal wave.
Hostel services is one which is beyond pathetic. For people who stay outside, it's great for them. But the level of hygiene followed in the hostel, the food in the hostel is beyond shocking. Infrastructure wise, it's great, but that's all. Food services do need a massive revamp.
