About College

Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata was founded in 1989 and is thus the oldest private engineering school in the province. It possesses decentralized academic campuses. Three of the academic campuses and an administrative unit are located in Salt Lake Electronics Complex (Bidhan Nagar), Sector-V, Salt Lake City. They are:

Gurukul: The main engineering facility, houses classes from 2nd to 4th year B.tech students, as well as 1st and 2nd year M.tech students.

Ashram: Classes for BCA, MCA and BBA as well as administrative activities.

MBA campus: Classes for MBA and B.Tech 1st year students.

• The management college of IEM has been categorized as an “A” class management school by the AIMA (All India Management Association), New Delhi.
• The Institute is affiliated to WBUT. B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA courses are under AICTE, Govt. of INDIA
• College was ranked as “Silver A+++ Business School” by Just Career magazine in 2011
• College students and teachers publish 300+ international journal papers
• College was also awarded as “ Outstanding Engineering Institute-East” by Star News
• Admissions in B.Tech. are based on WBJEE and JEE Mains

• Library: A beautiful & modern library well updated books,journals & multimedia learning aids,provides the student an oppertunities to keep themselves well versed with all engineering & management related information.
• Hostel: Limited boarding & lodging are available separately for both boys & girls.

Festival:

• Innovacion- It is annual technological fest organized by the college with the theme Innovate- Enkindle-Motivate. It is a medium through which the youth can express their views, their creativity, their talent and their technological skills.
