The Madura College was founded with the aim “to produce disciplined, competent, spiritually,  socially committed and morally upright student through quality education and research.” The College strives for excellence in the teaching at modest cost and communicates ethics, values and responsibility. The students are provided with a friendly environment throughout the campus which makes their learning lively. The faculty marks their presence as guides along with lending a friendly hand at times of need. The College offers nine postgraduate programmes and seven undergraduate courses. With limited funds, the college has achieved sparkling heights in the Madurai region and is counted as one of the oldest colleges in Tamil Nadu.

• Extension Activities: In addition to the diverse course structure provided by the college, it also wins the race in providing an enormous number of extra-curricular activities for its students, which keep them healthy. The college bestows with NCC and NSS facilities for separate boys and girls. It has its Blood Donation Club, administered by the faculty and students of the college, to motivate and induce new blood donors, and to receive emergency calls from hospitals.
