About College

Gandhi Institute for Technology (GIFT), Bhubaneshwar was started in 2007. It is a part of Gandhi Group of Institutions. It is run by Balaram Panda Trust. It is a Self Financed, Co Educational & Non – Minority institution. It is located at village Gramadiha, nearest Railway station (Bhubaneshwar) is 25 km away.

  • It is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi
  • It is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela

Collaborations:

  • It is the AKASH TABLET Project center of IIT Bombay
  • The institute has signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoU’s) with IBM, Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Nicco Ventures, Cocubes, PurpleLeap

Extracurricular Activities:

  • Hobby Clubs – It consists of various clubs such as Guitar, Tabla, Harmonium Clubs and others that help students to showcase & develop their skills.
  • Computer Literacy Campaign Summer’ 2011 – It was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering along with Social Responsibility committee at the campus for people of nearby villages. Its objective was to make the rural community aware of the benefits of computer education. 63 people were enrolled for the program out of which 52 completed it successfully.

Achievements:

  • GIFT has been ranked in 31st position as Top Emerging College of Excellence in India, CSR-GHRDC Survey-2014
  • It ranked 3rd position among Top 10 Engineering Colleges in the State, CSR-GHRDC Survey-2014.
  • It ranked 84th position among Top Private Engineering Colleges in the Country, CSR-GHRDC Survey-2014.
  • It was awarded for the 2nd time as the 'Best Technical Institute in Odisha' at the 8th 'Capital Education Fair-2013
  • In the 7th 'Capital education Fair-2012', It was awarded the 'Best Engineering College of Odisha' for the year 2012
