The growth of GGS Sachdeva Group had a modest beginning in 2002 with a GGS College of Modern Technology in Kharar offering Diploma, undergraduate and post graduate courses in engineering, MBA and MCA.

Extracurricular Activities:

The college has various activities. It has clubs for the extracurricular activities.The clubs are:

  • Dramatics club- The club primarily has 4 competitive events – Street Play, Duo Dance, Stage Play and Group Dance
  • Debating and literary club-The Debating and Literary Club is the club which creates orators out of engineers and promotes literary awareness and knowledge of the English language

  • Online Quizzing Club- quizzes in GGS College test the knowledge in a wide variety of fields
  • Fine arts club- This club is one of the most happening club at GGS College and is associated with events and workshops
  • Innovative Projects Club-The Innovation club at GGS College is a unique club. Students showcase their knowledge and talent through innovative ideas

Library

  • The reading halls are tastefully furnished with a seating capacity for more than 100 Students
  • It is stocked with more than 10,580 volumes consisting of text books and reference books on the various subjects of Engineering, general knowledge and current affairs
  • subscribes to 25 national and 35 International professional journals, magazines and newspapers
  • The Library is linked through the digitalized/electronics linkage facility to the All India level E- Resources for Providing access to the latest updates in knowledge in the field of Science and Technology

Hostel

  • There are two boys hostel
  • Capacity of boys hostel is more than 500 students
  • The hostel has Gym, reading room,Common room
  • Girls hostel has capacity of more than 200 students

 

Festivals:

Parhelion- The two day long techno-cultural extravaganza which is held annually. Two days of music, rock, dance, drama and college masti come with promises of sheer fun. The main attractions were 5 renowned Punjabi Singers i.e. Jassi Gill, Roshan Prince, Ammy Virk, Jassi Jasraj and Raja Baath who thrilled the audience with their hit songs

Scholarship and Awards:

GGS college has been in limelighr for motivating their youngsters by giving scholarships/awards every year. scholarships are given to the toppers every year.Merit scholarships are awarded to toppers along with need based financial assistance every year
