Basava Academy of Engineering (BAE), Bangalore was established in 2002 under the flagship of Sri Belimatha Maha Samsthana socio cultural and education trust. The college is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and. The college has initiated E D P programs in collaboration with micro, small and medium eterprises (MSME), Bangalore and AWAKE Bangalore and to enhance the E D P, they have started incubation centre in collaboration with local Industries

• It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University
• The vision of the college is to make a pace setting Institution to prepare future engineers to compete with global challenge, to become future leaders and entrepreneurs

• The Library more than 10000 volumes of text and reference books
• The library subscribes to 15 international and 24 national technical journals
• The reading room of the library accommodates about 125 reader

• Separate hostels are there for boys and girls
• Both can accommodate 120 students
