Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering (BUIE), Bandra was established in 1998. The Institute is recognized by the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal and affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology and approved by AICTE and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Institute is ISO 9001-2000 certified Institute.

• BUIE assures that every effort will be made in the college to learn with pleasure and remain pro-active in providing quality education with the sole aim to transform their students into a qualified technologist, manager & a leader in implementing technological advancement
• The college has facilities to learn from its faculties and professors coming from renowned institution and practicing engineers to give exposure to state of art technology and managerial skill

• Separate accommodations are available for men, women, and the faculty
• There are two boys Hall of Residence to provide accommodation for 450 students at the residential campus of the Institute
• The girls hostel accommodates 140 girls and part of Teachers' hostel accommodates 50 students
