About College
One of the most renowned and respected Catholic colleges for girls in Kolkata, Loreto College was founded by the Religious Order of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the year 1912. The college aims at honing academic excellence in addition to inculcating leadership, selfless service, and commitment in its students. The college was the first to attain NAAC assessment in the entire state.
The B.Ed. Department of the college was founded in 1913 and is a NAAC accredited A grade department along with being recognized by the N.C.T.E. The college is a UGC recognized College with Potential for Excellence.
