About College

The B.V Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology (BVBCET) Hubli, was started as a polytechnic in Gadag but was moved to hubli in 1948 and simultaneously upgraded to an engineering college.  It was established by the Karnatak Lingayat Education society (KLE society). It was named after the businessman philanthropist Shri. B. V. Bhoomaraddi. BVBCET has achieved an enviable status due to a strong emphasis on academic and technical excellence. The college believes in kindling the spirit of this unique and creative discipline in every student who enters its portals, preparing the students for a world in which their contribution is truly stands apart. The college has adopted Outcome Based Education (OBE) framework which catalyzes the curriculum to the needs of the industry and the society. BVBCET’s vision is to be one of the nation’s premier engineering colleges by achieving the highest order of excellence in teaching and research. College’s mission is to strive for student achievement and success preparing them for life and leadership, to impart quality technical education that meets the needs of present and emerging technological world.
