About College
BGS Institute of Technology ( BGSIT), Mandya is a co-ed private institution that was established in 1974 in Mandya as a venture of Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by AICTE, New Delhi institution aims at creating engineers for tomorrow with full support to the pioneers of today. The campus of BGSIT is in a lush green and pollution-free environment and about 90 KM away from the Bengaluru City in Silicon Valley of India on Bengaluru – Hassan – Mangalore NH-75.
BGSIT is equipped with all modern facilities inside the campus so that a student get multi-faceted development apart from the academic front by encouraging them in sports, cultural and other extracurricular activities.

The library has approximately 20,500 syllabus related books with a huge collection of refences, periodical, newspaper clipping, over 30,000 bibliographic records, e-books and journals, and audio-visual resources for references. |

A separate hostel facility with 24x7 security for both girls and boys are also available with capacity of 350 and 400 students repectively. |
Events & Festivals
- PRAJWALANA - An annual cultural festival to showcase hidden talents of a student is celebrated every year in April or May month.
- CYPRO STREAM - Every year on last week of March, Techno Supremes (6th sem CS&E) and Techno maniacs (6th Sem IS&E) organizes the departmental fest of CS&E and IS&E for several technical, non technical and computer LAN Game competitions.
- NANDANA - A week long cultural festival celebrated every year with beautiful Gowri and Ganesh idols.
- AATA - An annual sports meet organized every year with active participation of students and staff in various sports activities.
- FARE FIESTA - The farewell party given by the third and second year students to the final year CS&E and IS&E out going students.
