All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s Institute of Information Technology, Pune formerly known as Women’s Engineering College, was established in 1999. It is affiliated to the University of Pune and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is recognised by Director of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra. The objective of the college is to be nationally recognized as an educational institute that prepares students for successful professional career with high human values and to provide students sufficient understanding of scientific and engineering fundamentals to become competent engineering graduates. The college spread over an area of 11 acres of land and located in the heart of the city in Shivajinagar, around 5 minutes' walk from the Pune railway station.
