About College
Bankim Sardar College was established in 1955 at a time when the country had just got freedom and was try to rebuild the nation again by the help of spreading quality education among lots and lots of people. In 2005 college celebrated its golden jublee , thus it is giving education to the people from a very long time. The college is pursuing the “vision of enlightening” the families of one of the underprivileged region of the country. The Bankim Sardar College, located in a campus area of 30 acres in the in the land of Sundarban in a village named Tangrakhali in South 24 Praganas of West Bengal, which is about 45 km. from Kolkata. Some of the objectives of college include:
- To help the students to make progression to become graduates
- To conduct research and studies towards preservation of mangrove plantation
- To make students enriched with the 21st century skills and mindsets
