Kirori Mal College was founded in the year 1954 and has succeeded in maintaining its position as one of the foremost educational institutions in Delhi. The college has always encouraged holistic learning and strives to help students find the right balance between academics and co-curricular activities.
The college instills a keen interest in acquiring knowledge amongst its students. The college was initially known as Nirmala College and was started by American Jesuits. The Seth Kirori Mal Trust took over the college and shifted it to its present campus from Qutub Road in 1954. On 1 June 2001, it became the first college of Delhi University to begin online admissions in the country.
