Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharmshala was established under the Central Universities Act 2009. The university has two campuses in Dharmshala and Dehra both in the Kangra district. The Beas campus in Dehra performs 70% of the Academic activities of the university and 30% by Dhauladhar campus in Dharmshala. Its territorial jurisdiction spans over the entire state of Himachal Pradesh.
