Sarojini Naidu Medical College is one of the three oldest Medical college in India. It was founded in 1854 by Lt. Governor Sir James Thomson, and was named after him as Thomson School. However, it was renamed in 1947 after the well-known freedom fighter, poetess, and first Lady Governess of Uttar Pradesh, Bharat Kokila Smt. Dr. Sarojini Naidu. It is located in the heart of Agra with separate building for hospital and college, jointly covering a total area of 24.49 acres, making it one of the biggest Medical schools in the state.
