About College
PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research was established in the year 1985 by P.S Govindaswamy Naidu & Son’s Charities. The college is recognized by Medical Council of India, General Medical Council of UK and Srilankan Medical Council. The college offers Bachelor, Master and Research Programmes
- It is the first teaching hospital in Tamil Nadu and the third teaching hospital in India to get NABH accreditation

Library:
- The college has well-equipped library with seating capacity of 280 readers. There are about 15,000 text books (regular and reference) and 4500 back volumes
- 392 foreign journals (including 250 online versions) and about 100 Indian journals are subscribed
- The library media centre offers MEDLARS SERVICE (a medical and allied health data base), International Pharmaceutical Abstracts Service, Proquest online database and regular internet service
