Jaya College of Arts and Science, Chennai was instituted in the year 1992. It was mainly established to provide a milieu to nurture students with innovative thinking and inculcate communicative skills and team-building skills which are very much to be possessed by a student to come out in flying colors in this competitive world. Each and every personality has to be unique to succeed. Jaya College of Arts and Science provide such an environment to its students to imbibe an overall development with all necessary skills. Prof.A. Kanagaraj, Founder of this institution, started this College with a high aim of creating a satisfying global humanity. The College offers courses (UG and PG)  in numerous streams of the categories Arts, General Science, Commerce, Physiotherapy, Computer Applications and Management Studies.

• Laboratory: There is a central Information Technology lab which facilitates coaching students using modern teaching- learning techniques. Each and every department has its own well-equipped laboratory for research and carrying out various experiments
• Library: The library of this institution has a huge pool of reference books, periodicals, journals, dailies etc. This helps the students update themselves on the current affairs and also to gain in-depth knowledge on their subjects.
• Placement cell: The placement Cell in JCAS is continually putting efforts to find placements for its students in various organizations. It organizes special training programs to cater the students industrially fit.
• Placements:  Top MNC’s like Dell, Infosys, HCL, Sathyam-Mahindra etc. visit the campus every year to select employees for their organization
• Dormitory Housing: The College provides residential facilities to its students at nominal rates.
• Other Facilities: The College has Auditorium, playground, Seminar hall, Central Computer room, cafeteria and transportation facility as well
• Student-Exchange Programs: Jaya Group of institutions has MoU signed with many foreign Universities for Student Exchange Programs.
