Jawahar Barathi Degree College, Nellore came into existence in the year 1951. Since inception this college has been providing immaculate education to the all class of pupil. Jawahar Barathi Degree College was actually named as “Visvodhya College” when started and later by the current name from 1965 onwards. It accentuates on the line “Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya “from a famous sloga and stresses on imparting liberal education to young aspirants of this society without any discriminations. With the same rapport this reputed institution is continuing its excellence, in educating and encouraging, young minds in meeting the world’s demands even after Six and a half decades. This esteemed college has produced many laureates, scholars, intellects and successful politicians to our nation.
