About College

Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research was established in 1994 with the hospital named Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon and was visited by Mahatma Gandhi in 1945.It was founded by the society named Maharashtra  Academy of Engineering Education & Research (MAEER) and got reorganization from Medical Council of India. The college offers Bachelor, Master and Diploma courses I Medical Science

• This college is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Science and got the achievement of listing under the International Medical Education Directory
• This college was well urbanized with the main aim of aspiring youth of India with the skilled and devoted teaching staff. It also aimed to produce the centre of excellence in Education & Research field
• The college is sprawled over an area of 52 acres with the beautiful surrounding. In addition, the college has well developed laboratories, museums, Lecture halls and modern library facilities. It has highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff and with the efforts of teachers & students it attained the status of reputed college
• It enrolls 100 students for this course annually

• The college organizes various cultural as well as academic events every year. Its main objective is to develop the overall personality of its students by involving them in these types of cultural and social events.

 Library- It has well equipped library with all old and latest books and periodicals. Its central library has three reading rooms & variety of books. It has

ICT- The College has provided fast broadband facility with all latest computers in all labs so that students and staff can search anything related to their subjects.  There are around 200 computers in the various department and sections connected by LAN. There is central N-computing facility in the Digital Library. Total 40 computes and centralized printers are connected in the Lab

Sports infrastructure- Performing and taking part in sports events always help students to deduce their stress of exams and bring out their unseen flairs. The college always put extra efforts in organizing various sports events time to time so as to build up flexibility in students. Some of events which college organizes are Cricket match between staff & students, Tennis matches, Football matches etc.

• Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad Award- This award is given to the best outgoing student every year
• Dr. B. B. Dikshit Memorial (Gold medal) – This award and scholarship is given to the regular students who ranked first in Physiology
• Krish Kumar Verma Memorial – This award & scholarship is given to the students of anatomy who ranked first
• Government Merit Scholarship –The students who got merit are awarded with National Merit and other Government Scholarships. The college also provides full concession for backward class students in tuition fee
