Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College was established in 1968. The college affiliated to Bundelkhand University. The college offers Bachelor and Master degree programme in Medical Science. It also offers paramedical courses for nursing staff, laboratory technicians, Opthalmic assistants and dental hygienists

  • The associated hospital has total bed strength of 700 beds. There are about 45 consultants, 200 junior doctors including inters and 106 nurses to provide training to the students
  • The college enrolled 50 students in MBBS, 31 for MD/MS and 24 for Diploma courses
  • Admission to MBBS course is made on the basis of competative examination.  Admission to 50% of the MCI recognised seats is made through AIPGMEE conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi and remaining seats are filled by UPPGME conducted by the medical college nominated by the UP Govt.

  • College is actively involved in various national health Programmes, e.g. Maternal and Child health, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Family Welfare, Pulse Polio Immunization programme etc.
