About College

Jamshedpur Women’s College, Jamshedpur was established in 1953 committed to the cause of women's education in the newly created state of Jharkhand. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council have awarded the College with grade A. The college in a highly motivated academic environment, offering education in all three faculties of science, commerce and arts at the undergraduate level, the college also runs postgraduate courses in different subjects. Research and quality assessment are the core areas of the postgraduate teaching, as the college is now taking strides towards networking with different National and International bodies.  The mission of the institute is to empower women and make them self reliant and many underprivileged talented women are provided higher education in and around Jamshedpur.
