Dr DY Patil Institute of Optometry & Visual Sciences brings about overall holistic development of the community by encouraging research & training the students in comprehensive eye-care. It raises the standard of education that contributes to the health & welfare of the society.

It is the first college of optometry to provide a UGC recognised degree in optometric science in India. It is a constituent unit of Dr. DY Patil university (deemed university), Pimpri, Pune. The faculties have attended various national & international seminars in the last 5 years. It has worked with NGO’s & children with special needs.

It has various sister institutes viz. a medical college, a dental college & hospital, a nursing college, a physiotherapy college, a biotechnology & bioinformatics institute & a Global business school.
