The Co-operative Medical College which is also known as Cochin Medical College (CMC) was founded on April 1999. CMC is established by the Government of Kerala and administrated by the Co-operative Academy of Professional Education. Today, CMC is glistering with exceptional records in both academic and extra-curricular fields with the full support by brilliant faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.

• The campus of Co-operative Medical College is scattered over an area of 60 acres along the picturesque landscape at Kalamassery, Ernakulam.
• The Medical College is recognized by the Medical Council of India and AVICENNA.
• It is affiliated to Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) and Kerala University of Health and Science (KUHAS).
• The college was established as an Autonomous Society under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act 1955.
• The college is offering different type of medical courses such as MBBS (100 Seats), B.Sc. Nursing (60 Seats) and Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (40 Seats).
• The CMC has a separate building for College of Nursing which is one of the best institutes for B.Sc Nursing Course in the country.
• Admission to MBBS Course is on the mark basis of Entrance Examination conducted by the respective state.
• For MBBS Program 85% of the seat is reserved for Resident Students and 15% for International Students.
• The college also features a Clinic in its campus and enables the students to develop and practice the basic skills in analyzing case history of different diseases.
• The college provides state-of-the-art facilities like hostels, library and well-equipped laboratories to conduct Hematology, Pathology, Biochemistry and Microbiology investigations.

The College of Nursing, Cochin Medical College is one of the leading nursing institutes in India. The institute was established in the year 2009 and intake capacity is 60 students per year.
