Baba Raghav Das Medical College of Gorakhpur was laid in November, 1969 by the then chief minister of UP, late Shri Chandra Bhanu Gupta in the memory of the great freedom fighter Baba Raghav Das. In order to expand the scope of medical education in Uttar Pradesh, this college was established with the affiliation of DDU university of Gorakhpur. This college offers both MBBS courses as well as Post graduate courses of medical education for the students. Since the time of its inception, this college has become a great source of producing exceptionally talented and trained doctors for the future generation.
