With the great efforts of Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the Founder of Al-Ameen Movements,Al-Ameen Medical College was started at Bijapur in 1984.

• Al-Ameen Medical College is situated at Athani road in Bijapur, Karnataka. 
• The college buildings have two hundred acres of land on western hills of Bijapur.
• The college objective to be one of the premier institutions of Medical Sciences in the country.
• Al-Ameen Medical College/Al-Ameen Dental College runs its own bus facilities recurrently. 

The Management and the faculty of the Medical College are endeavoring to make the institution as one of the best medical institution of our country.

The college is providing several facilities to its students. The facilities offered by the college include Hostel, Health Care, Library, Guest House and several others.

Hostel – There are two hostels for men's and women's separately in the Campus.

• Moulana Azad Men's Hostel
• Bibi Khatija Ladies Hostel
• Ladies and Boys PG Hostels
• Both the hostels are available for the students of Al- Ameen Medical College and Al-Ameen Dental College.
• The hostel is having its Own Mess and Kitchen.
• It’s also having a Recreation Hall and a Prayer Hall.

If any student is involved in ragging he/she will not only be expelled but criminal proceedings will also be launched against him/her.

Library - Library has two units - one for undergraduate students & other for postgraduate students.

• There are 9500 edition & reference books 1800 back volumes of nearly 120 journals.
• It is taking care of the need of students & teaching faculties by providing national and International journals & books in all the disciplines.
• It is also related with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore, in providing nearly 300 online e-journals.
• It has separate sections for, staff books, students, periodicals, Magazine back volumes, & Newspapers and Internet.

Some other facilities include Computer centre, Well-equipped laboratories, Extra-curricular activities, Cafeteria, Transport/Conveyance, Health services, Placement Cell etc.

• The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and Sciences, Bangalore.
• The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India since 1994.
