The Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar was started on the World Health Day (7th April 2008). IIPH Gandhinagar is one of the institutions that were established under the umbrella of Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). The 1st academic program commenced in the year 2008 i.e. Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM). The institute currently has 13 fulltime qualified and experienced faculties who are from diverse backgrounds associated to public health. The institute offers with several programs in related to public health. Some of courses it offers are -A.F.I.H. Course (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health), Associate Fellow of Industrial Health, short course on the Fundamentals of Health Economics, Health Financing and Insurance etc.

Scholarship |
The institute gives Scholarship to its students. Scholarships are provided by the institute under the Dr. PG Tulpule Scholarship Fund to encourage the students who registers in the PGDPHM program of PHFI and MMTC scholarship fund which provides scholarship to meritorious students who are from socially & economically deprived communities, for the (PGDPHM) program offered by IIPH. |

IIPH - G has developed research & academic collaborations with some of international institutes and universities like Karolinska Institute Sweden, Aberdeen University, UK, Aberdeen University, NRDC USA, Columbia University USA, and Boston University etc.
2. Training Programs and Workshops –
In order to train service managers in the fields related to Public health the institute organizes and conducts several short term training and workshops. The institute‘s activities like researches receives funding support from Karoliska Institute, IPH Bangalore, CSIR, NABARD, NRDC, etc. IIPH G also provides research based health policy recommendation to the Govt. of Gujarat. The faculty members are also on various Govt. committees, international advisory committees and NGO boards.
