National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research was established in 2007 under the Aegis of Ministry of Chemicals and Fertiliser as a center of excellence for higher education, research, and development in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute was declared as an Institute of National importance by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament.
The institute offers M.S. (Pharm), M.Pharm, M.Tech (Pharm.), MBA (Pharm), and Ph.D. programs that would also be started in various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences.
