About College

Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMC) is located at Narakachal Hill with the beautiful surroundings. It was established in 1960 with the sole aim of creating highly qualified medical professionals. It has enjoyed the prominent status for academic pursuits & health care facilities in the country.

Library: The Library in college was started up in 1961 withthe unique variety of old 'International Periodicals'. Library has Photostat facility along with internet connection in all computers. Besides these, there are different Libraries for various departments. Presently there are

Sports: Along with hostel facilities, the college has provided the sports facility such as
