About College
Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College was established in 1888 by Maharaja Nripendra Narayan. The college is affiliated to the University of North Bengal and awarded ‘B’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers undergraduates and postgraduates courses in the field of Arts and Science
- Earlier, the college was known as Victoria College
- In 1970, it was renamed as a Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College
- In 2004, the college started postgraduate courses in Bengali, Sanskrit and Zoology and History in 2010
- The college has been conferred "Centre of Excellence" status by the University Grants Commission
- The college has an IGNOU study center to facilitate distance education
- It is located in Cooch Behar with a campus of 13.27 acres (53,700 m2) and built-up area of 9032.96 sq. meters
- The college is divided into six blocks-administrative, bioscience, centenary, humanities, chemistry and library

The college has spacious and well-equipped library with:
- 55,000 books, journals and periodicals in a two-storied building with an area of about 2,500 sq ft (230 m2)
- Reference section in which there is a lending section and a Reading Room
- The reference section has books on diverse subjects including encyclopedia
- The library has LAN facilities and LIBSYS software and follows open access for PG student

Extra-Curricular:
- The college organizes various activities like debates, music, extempore speech, quiz etc. The college won 1st and 3rd position in state level Inter-College Quiz Competition at Kolkata
- The college also arranges outdoor games like Football and Cricket etc. are held in the playground. Physical education department of the College looks after the progress of sports and games of the college
- 'Nabarun’ ,the annual social of the college, organized under the leadership of the students' union of this College
- NCC - NCC organizes "B" and "C" certificate examinations and various campus in West Bengal and outside as part of the NCC programmes. Cadets participate in Republic Day parade in New Delhi every year. From 2004-2008 sixty cadets have been employed in defense services
- NSS – NSS organizes various social services campus for the development of the personality of students through creative and constructive social action among students
