Founded by Mahatma Hansraj Ji, an educationist veteran leader of the DAV movement, The Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (HRMMV) is one of the premier institutes of North India and was established in Lahore and moved to Jalandhar post-Independence to further the cause of female empowerment and value based education.Moreover, it is one of the universities which are managed by the DAV college managing committee, New Delhi.
