Vidyavardhini’s College of Engineering and Technology is a part of “Vidyavardhini “, which means a body committed to enhancement of knowledge. Vidyavardhini was established in 1970 by late Padmashri H. G.  Vartak.

  • Vidyavardhini College of Engineering & Technology was started from July, 1994.
  • The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for the four year degree program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering.
  • The campus is located on the sprawling campus of Vidyavardhini, spread over an area of 12.27 acres. It is walking distance from Vasai Road (W) Railway Station.

Facilities:

Library
  • The college central library was established in 1994.
  • The total collection of library books is 19098 (with 8143 titles) and 54 national and international journals/magazines are currently available in the library.
  • The Central Library has started a separate Digital Library section for students and staff members. College is subscribing a package of INDEST- AICTE consortium by spending more than Rs. 4 lakhs, to avail this facility to students and staff.

Internet Center
  • The Internet Center is well equipped with 50 Desktops with licensed windows Operating system, 2 LaserJet printers and 1 scanner.
  • The Internet Center is primarily used for providing Internet facilities for all students of VCET.
  • The VCET has procured 4Mbps broadband connection to provide Internet facility to their students and staff

 

Tech Fest:

ABACUS – It’s an exhibitory event organized by The Computer Department of Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology. The event includes different sections on upcoming technologies.

BHRAMAN- A photo exhibition by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Awards and Achievements:

1.   The students of VCET had won – 1st PLACE in CARROM, 2nd PLACE in TABLE TENNIS and 3rd PLACE in CHESS at the  MIT SUMMIT’12 National Level Inter Engineering College Meet, PUNE.

2.   Mr. Shiva Agarwal secured 1st RANK in Mumbai University in the branch of Instrumentation (BE Exam May 2012).

3.   Four branches Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the period of 3 years with effect from. April 2012.
