About College
Guwahati College is one of the leading colleges of the Guwahati University. Since this college came into existence, it has been offering high quality education to the students. The college started with just 75 students but now the number has increased exponentially, reaching up to 1500 students. Latest technologies used in the field of education are also used here and today, this college has also been recognized by the University Grants Commission. The College offers a variety of programs in three streams Commerce, Science and Arts. The College is situated amongst nature’s bounty thereby providing a perfect environment for education.

1. Reconstituted Women’s Forum-
The reason behind the setting up of the Women’s Forum was to ensure the upliftment of women students studying in the college. Women are empowered through various programs and activities organized in the college. A lot of focus is placed on women literacy. Distressed women and counselled and rehabilitated.
2. Growing Focus on Performing Arts-
A wide array of arts like painting, dance, theatre and music activities are promoted to enhance creativity among the students. Lectures from some of the eminent artists of the region are also organized to promote these activities.
