Institute of Hotel Management, Punjab was established recently by the year 2009. This institute is also a government affiliated college established for the development of ministry of tourism and service sector in Punjab. North India has so many significant monuments and tourists spots. Bathinda is named after Bhati rajput kings and is very famous for wheat and wool. There are more than 60 colleges in and around Bathinda. There are also 3-4 star hotels and many upcoming hotels for the development of the tourism. The development of these hotel management studies will help to develop the tourism and hospitality services across India.

They have a training restaurant with 40 covers where a student gets to learn about the wines in the world and the dishes of French people with their 11 main courses. In this institute students are taught to cook exotic and mouth watering dishes in the training kitchen which has all the modern facilities for cooking. Students are also taught to bake and make confectioneries. Through this training kitchen set up a student can imagine about the kitchen in leading hotels.
