About College
The Veterinary College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu was established to fulfill the need of educational research in fisheries and animal sciences to boost up productivity for the better generation of the income of the farmers. The institute aims at providing education and to increase development of research work along with providing extension education to the rural people of the state in various field of veterinary and animal science. The institute has its own dairy unit, livestock farms, goat and sheep unit, rabbit unit, pig unit, a huge poultry farm complex and a forage farm to provide regular fodder to livestock owned for instruction and research purposes.
